This hub sits under JobPracticeTests editorial guidance and owns the reviews and prep-comparison directory. It is distinct from the Best Prep Courses silo, which ranks or compares preparation options by assessment family.

How we review prep resources

We evaluate prep resources using practical, candidate-focused criteria:

  • relevance to the target assessment;
  • clarity of the study path;
  • quality of explanations;
  • transparency around pricing and access;
  • realism of marketing claims;
  • fit for different candidate profiles.

The goal is not to declare one product “best” for every candidate.

A prep resource that is useful for a named employment assessment may be a poor fit for a broad school exam, and a printed study guide may be less useful when the real test is timed, adaptive, or highly employer-specific.

When possible, our reviews separate:

  • who the product may fit;
  • what test families it appears to cover;
  • what candidates still need to verify before purchasing;
  • which alternatives may fit different budgets or study styles.

What these reviews cannot do

No prep product can guarantee a score, passing result, hiring outcome, or training success.

Prep also cannot replace official instructions from the employer, agency, test publisher, or candidate portal.

Before buying any prep product, confirm the exact test name, role, country, deadline, device requirements, retake policy, and whether the assessment is timed.

Affiliate relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions.

Why trust Job Practice Tests

Independent from employers and test publishers

Job Practice Tests is an educational site. We are not the employer, regulator, or official test publisher, and we say so clearly when a guide discusses a third-party assessment.

Official sources come first

Hiring rules and test formats change. When an employer or agency publishes current instructions, those instructions take priority over any preparation guide, including ours.

Affiliate links are disclosed

Some pages contain affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy through them, but paid preparation is optional and commercial relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions.
